14-Day Mixed Veterinary Outreach Program

Experience Veterinary Medicine Beyond the Clinic

Join Wildlife Adventure Africa’s immersive 14-Day Mixed Veterinary Outreach Program and gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced veterinarians, veterinary teams, and local animal-care professionals across South Africa.

This is more than a veterinary experience — it is an opportunity to become part of meaningful work that supports both animals and communities. Participants may assist with a variety of veterinary-related activities involving companion animals, livestock, community outreach initiatives, and occasional wildlife cases depending on current projects and veterinary needs.

Our program focuses on creating real impact through veterinary care, education, and support within local communities while providing participants with valuable practical exposure and unforgettable African experiences.

Some days may involve outreach work in local communities, assisting with animal treatments and health initiatives, while others may include educational sessions, field experiences, or veterinary-related activities alongside our partner veterinary teams.

Every experience is real. Every day is different. Every participant makes a difference.

Wildlife Adventure Africa collaborates with experienced veterinary professionals, and community partners to provide meaningful outreach and educational opportunities while supporting local communities and animal welfare initiatives throughout South Africa.

More Than Veterinary Experience — Become Part of Something Bigger

This program is designed to combine veterinary exposure, community impact, cultural experiences, and adventure into one unforgettable journey.

As a participant, you won’t simply observe from the sidelines. You’ll experience the realities of veterinary work in South Africa while contributing to projects that create genuine value for local communities and animal welfare initiatives.

Between practical experiences and outreach activities, you’ll also discover the beauty of South Africa through exciting excursions and unforgettable moments in the African bush.

Learn. Contribute. Explore. Create lifelong memories.

No Veterinary Experience Required

You do not need to be a veterinary student to join.

Whether you are studying veterinary science, considering a future career in animal care, taking a gap year, or simply passionate about animals and conservation, this program provides an exciting opportunity to learn and gain practical exposure in a supportive environment.

Participants from around the world join us to gain experience, build confidence, contribute to meaningful work, and experience South Africa in a way that few travelers ever do.
