Create an Instagram Reel sharing your Wildlife Adventure Africa experience from whichever WAA program you joined, and you could win an 8-Day / 7-Night All-Inclusive African Wildlife Adventure for TWO people in South Africa.
HOW TO ENTER
Entering is simple:
1. Create an Instagram Reel sharing your Wildlife Adventure Africa experience using photos and/or video footage from your trip with us.
2. Post the Reel to Instagram during the competition period.
3. Tag @wildlifeadventureafrica in your Reel.
4. Include the official competition hashtag #TakeMeBackToWAA.
5. Post your entry before 23:59 SAST on 1 November 2026.
There is no required Reel length or editing style.
Your Reel can be funny, emotional, cinematic, educational, adventurous or completely your own. You may use videos, photographs, text, music, voiceovers or other creative elements.
We want to see your WAA experience through your eyes.
THE PRIZE
One winner will receive:
AN 8-DAY / 7-NIGHT ALL-INCLUSIVE AFRICAN WILDLIFE ADVENTURE FOR TWO PEOPLE
Total prize value: US$5,500
The prize includes, for the winner and one guest:
- 7 nights’ accommodation
- Meals for the duration of the experience
- Drinks included as part of the African Wildlife Adventure package
- Scheduled excursions and activities included in the itinerary
- Wildlife and tourism experiences included in the itinerary
- Arrival and departure transfers between Hoedspruit/Eastgate Airport (HDS) and the WAA accommodation
- All other standard inclusions forming part of the applicable African Wildlife Adventure itinerary
Flights are not included.
The winner and their guest are responsible for arranging and paying for their own international and/or domestic flights to and from Hoedspruit/Eastgate Airport (HDS).
Travel insurance, passports, visas where applicable, personal expenses, optional activities or services not included in the itinerary, and any other expenses not expressly stated as included are also the responsibility of the winner and their guest.
FULL COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Promoter
The Take Me Back to WAA Competition (“Competition”) is promoted by Wildlife Adventure Africa (Pty) Ltd, South Africa (“Wildlife Adventure Africa”, “WAA”, “we”, “us” or “the Promoter”).

2. Competition Period
The Competition opens on 25 September 2026 and closes at 23:59 South African Standard Time (SAST) on 1 November 2026.
Entries submitted after the closing time will not be considered.
3. Who Can Enter
The Competition is open to previous Wildlife Adventure Africa participants who have attended a WAA program.
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
No purchase or payment is required to enter.
Persons who are prohibited from entering or receiving a prize under applicable South African promotional competition law are not eligible.
4. How to Enter
To submit a valid entry, an eligible participant must:
- Create an Instagram Reel sharing their Wildlife Adventure Africa experience.
- Primarily use photographs and/or video footage from their own WAA trip or experience.
- Publish the Reel on Instagram during the Competition Period.
- Tag @wildlifeadventureafrica in the Reel.
- Include the official competition hashtag #TakeMeBackToWAA.
- Ensure that Wildlife Adventure Africa is able to view the entry until the winner has been selected and announced.
Entrants with private Instagram accounts are responsible for ensuring that WAA is able to view their entry. If WAA cannot access the Reel, the entry cannot be judged.
Only content that genuinely relates to the entrant’s Wildlife Adventure Africa experience should be submitted.
Entrants are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights to use any content included in their Reel and that their entry does not unlawfully infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of another person.
5. Reel Requirements
There is no prescribed Reel length, editing style, number of clips, audio choice or creative format, other than Instagram’s applicable requirements.
Entrants may use:
- Video clips
- Photographs
- Music available for lawful use
- Voiceovers
- Text
- Narration
- Other creative elements
Professional filming or editing is not required.
The purpose of the Competition is to allow past participants to creatively share their Wildlife Adventure Africa experience.
6. Judging & Winner Selection
This Competition is not a random draw.
Valid entries will be reviewed based on the following criteria:
- Creativity
- Authenticity
- Storytelling
- How effectively the Reel captures the Wildlife Adventure Africa experience
The number of followers, views, likes, comments or shares received by an entry will not determine the winner.
The winner will be selected after entries close.
The Competition will be overseen and certified as required by applicable South African law.
7. Winner Announcement
The winner is scheduled to be announced on 6 November 2026 through Wildlife Adventure Africa’s official Instagram account, @wildlifeadventureafrica.
The winner will also be contacted directly via their Instagram account and/or contact information available to Wildlife Adventure Africa.
Wildlife Adventure Africa will never require the winner to pay a fee to claim the prize.
Reasonable verification of the winner’s identity and previous participation with Wildlife Adventure Africa may be required before the prize is confirmed.
8. The Prize
The winner will receive an:
8-Day / 7-Night All-Inclusive African Wildlife Adventure for TWO people
with a total stated prize value of US$5,500.
The prize includes:
- 7 nights’ accommodation for two people
- Meals included in the applicable itinerary
- Drinks included as part of the African Wildlife Adventure package
- Scheduled excursions and activities included in the itinerary
- Wildlife and tourism experiences included in the itinerary
- Arrival and departure transfers between Hoedspruit/Eastgate Airport (HDS) and the WAA accommodation
- Other standard inclusions forming part of the applicable African Wildlife Adventure itinerary
The prize does NOT include flights.
The winner and guest must arrange and pay for their own international and/or domestic flights to and from Hoedspruit/Eastgate Airport (HDS).
The prize also does not include personal expenses, passports, visas where applicable, mandatory travel insurance, optional activities or services outside the included itinerary, or any other expense not expressly stated as included.
9. Prize Redemption & Travel Dates
The prize must be redeemed on an available African Wildlife Adventure date agreed upon with Wildlife Adventure Africa.
Travel dates are subject to availability and must be arranged directly with WAA.
The prize must be used in full on or before 31 December 2027.
The winner may choose one guest to accompany them, subject to the applicable participation, travel and eligibility requirements.
The prize has no cash alternative and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
Transfer of Prize
If the winner is genuinely unable to use the prize, WAA may, at its discretion and upon written request, permit the prize to be transferred once to another eligible person.
Any transfer must receive prior written approval from Wildlife Adventure Africa.
The prize may not be sold, auctioned, advertised for sale or exchanged for money or other consideration.
Once an approved transfer has taken place, no further transfer will be permitted.
10. Travel Requirements
The winner and their guest are responsible for ensuring that they have:
- Valid passports
- Appropriate visas where required
- Mandatory travel insurance
- Any documentation required to enter South Africa
- Any other documentation reasonably required to participate in the experience
The winner and guest are responsible for arranging their own travel to Hoedspruit/Eastgate Airport (HDS).
Wildlife Adventure Africa will arrange the included airport transfer from Hoedspruit/Eastgate Airport to the WAA accommodation and the return transfer at the end of the experience, in accordance with the applicable itinerary and transfer arrangements.
Failure to obtain the necessary travel documentation or satisfy applicable travel requirements does not create an obligation for Wildlife Adventure Africa to reimburse flights or other associated expenses.
11. Content & Competition Sharing
Entrants retain ownership of their original content.
By entering, participants acknowledge that their Reel is being publicly submitted as part of the Take Me Back to WAA Competition and may be reshared by Wildlife Adventure Africa in connection with administering and promoting the Competition, subject to applicable law and Instagram functionality.
Where Wildlife Adventure Africa wishes to use an entrant’s content for additional advertising, commercial marketing or other purposes outside ordinary Competition-related sharing, WAA may contact the entrant to obtain any additional permission that may be required.
The winner is not required to participate in additional marketing or publicity as a condition of receiving the prize where applicable law gives them the right to decline.
12. Instagram Disclaimer
This Competition is organised and promoted by Wildlife Adventure Africa (Pty) Ltd.
The Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta.
By entering, participants acknowledge that Instagram is not responsible for the administration, fulfilment or conduct of this Competition.
Participants remain responsible for complying with Instagram’s applicable terms, policies and community guidelines.
13. Verification & Invalid Entries
Wildlife Adventure Africa may reasonably verify:
- That an entrant previously participated in a WAA program
- The identity and eligibility of an entrant
- That an entry was submitted within the Competition Period
- That the required WAA tag and competition hashtag were included
- That an entry complies with these Terms & Conditions
Entries that do not meet the published requirements may be excluded from judging.
Fraudulent entries, impersonation, manipulated engagement or other attempts to improperly interfere with the Competition may result in disqualification, subject to applicable law.
14. Changes & Circumstances Beyond WAA’s Reasonable Control
If circumstances outside Wildlife Adventure Africa’s reasonable control materially affect the Competition or prize experience, WAA may make changes reasonably necessary to administer the Competition lawfully and fairly, subject to applicable consumer law and without unlawfully depriving a winner of a prize to which they have become entitled.
Any material changes will be communicated through Wildlife Adventure Africa’s official channels where reasonably practicable.
15. Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with the Competition may be processed for purposes reasonably necessary to:
- Administer the Competition
- Verify entries and eligibility
- Contact the winner
- Arrange the prize
- Meet applicable legal and record-keeping obligations
Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable South African privacy law and Wildlife Adventure Africa’s applicable privacy practices.
16. General
Participation in the Competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
These Competition Terms & Conditions are available free of charge on this webpage throughout the Competition Period.
The Competition is conducted subject to applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and applicable regulations.
Wildlife Adventure Africa will retain Competition records for the period required by applicable law and will arrange the required independent oversight and certification of the Competition.
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions conflicts with a mandatory provision of applicable law, the applicable law will prevail.
